Dr. Alankar Ramteke, is a fellowship trained joint replacement specialist and has participated in over 3000 primary joint replacements and many complex joint reconstructions and revision surgeries. He has a special interest in joint preservation surgeries in the young.
Dr Ramteke trained at the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York, USA under the prestigious Ranawat Joint Replacement Fellowship in 2013. In 2009, he received fellowship training at St. John of God Health Care and Musculoskeletal Research Centre, La Trobe University at Melbourne, Australia, in knee surgery, joint replacement & reconstruction surgery. In 2008, he was awarded hip & knee reconstruction fellowship, at Kyung Hee University Neo Medical Centre, at Seoul, Korea.
Dr. Ramteke has continuously upgraded his surgical skills at training facilities around the world. He received hands-on advanced joint replacement training at cadaver labs at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University (2015) and at Chulalongkorn University (2011) in Thailand. In 2007, he underwent travelling fellowship in shoulder arthroplasty at University of Insubria, Varese, in hip arthroplasty at Casa de Cura, St. Anna Hospital, Brescia, in Italy and knee arthroplasty, at Klinikum Mannheim, Heidelberg University, in Germany.
